Aplastic Anemia
Aregenerative Anemia
📋Overview
Aplastic anemia is a rare, serious blood disorder characterized by the failure of the bone marrow to produce sufficient new blood cells, leading to pancytopenia (deficiency of red cells, white cells, and platelets). It is the preferred modern term and is not a legacy or synonym term. The condition can be acquired or inherited and involves immune-mediated destruction or damage to hematopoietic stem cells.
