Lupus
📋Overview
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by inflammation and tissue damage affecting multiple organ systems. It is the preferred modern term for what was historically called lupus or lupus erythematosus. The immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues, leading to a wide range of symptoms and variable disease severity.
