Tourette Syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by multiple motor tics and at least one vocal tic lasting more than one year. It is a well-established condition with onset typically in childhood. Tourette Syndrome is the preferred modern term; older or synonymous terms include Gilles de la Tourette syndrome or simply Tourette's.
