San Leandro Hospital

San Leandro Hospital, as a general acute care hospital, closed its doors in 2012. The facility was subsequently acquired by Alameda Health System (AHS) in 2013 and now operates as Fairmont Hospital, a specialized facility focusing on rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long-term acute care. It does not function as a general acute care hospital and therefore does not have a public emergency room, surgical departments, or many of the specialized services typically found in an acute care hospital. Information provided reflects the current operations of Fairmont Hospital at the former San Leandro Hospital site.
