Founded in 1898 by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it served the community for over a century. In 1997, it was acquired by Saint Michael's Medical Center. The hospital ceased operations and closed its doors in 2004, with its services largely absorbed or discontinued.
